Glossybox + Xtreme Lashes Giveaway.

(Left to Right: Black Pearl, Plum, Xtreme Black, Golden Olive, Xpresso, Graphite, & Midnight Blue)
The last time I won something it was a gigantic dinosaur in 4th grade... It was pretty much the highlight of my formidable years. It was all the encouragement I needed to to keep hope alive and sign up for giveaways when they crossed my path. Recently Glossybox featured an Xtreme Lashes eyeliner in the (U.S.) May box (definitely the best part of the box). Subsequently, they also paired up and offered a giveaway that included all seven shades of Xtreme Lashes GlideLiner Long Lasting Pencil liner, a GlideLiner Sharpener, Eye Makeup Remover and Facial Cleanser100 Lint-Free Applicators, and the Classic Carry-All. The contents if bought separately would have retailed for $273 +tax. However, there's a GlideLiner Design package that's nearly identical (but with 25 Lint-Free Applicators) for sale for $189. Needless to say, I squealed a little bit when I got the email saying I had won, on my birthday no less.

GlideLiner Long Lasting Pencil ($29 each): The formula of the eyeliners is so luxurious. They're the creamiest, softest pencil liners I've tried. Definitely something you'll either love or hate. They are gel-based and once they set they last all day. However, because they're so soft it can be hard to get the product in the lines of your skin as it tends to just slide over (see photo). However, that's easily remedied by going back over it or smudging. They're perfect and easy to apply on the waterline or to transfer on to a liner brush for a more precise application. They work well for an eyeshadow base as well if you're going for a smokey eye. I've actually managed to use each shade and I'd actually consider purchasing when I run out. Easily my favorite pencil liner formula-- I really wish they had some lighter shades as well-- they'd be perfect for the lower water line.
GlideLiner Sharpener ($3): Pretty much your standard pencil sharpener that sharpens regular pencils (not Jumbo, etc.). I like that it's a closed design so your pencil shavings don't go everywhere.
Eye Makeup Remover and Facial Cleanser ($34): "Contains six calming and soothing botanicals (chamomile, comfrey leaf, cucumber, eyebright, witch hazel and rose hip." Claims to be good for all skin types (including sensitive, however, I'm allergic to one of the ingredients). Also, it's free of artifical colors, sulfates, fragrances, dyes, or mineral oils. I've only used this to remove makeup on a cotton pad and it does the job. It doesn't have any real scent, hasn't broken me out, or hurt my eyes. My skin's quite sensitive to witch hazel so I don't think I'll repurchase this. Besides, I'm in a long-term committed relationship with the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift & Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm
100 Lint-Free Applicators ($17 for a pack of 100): I've really only used these to smudge my eye makeup. I prefer these to cotton buds for smudging but these are definitely more expensive and less versatile. I won't be purchasing (but I'll enjoy the 99 I have left).
Classic Carry-All ($20): It seems silly to pay for a makeup bag when companies seem to give them out like candy. That said, this is a BIG fabric-lined bag with two small side pockets.

All in all, this was a fantastic giveaway. I got introduced to a new favorite and got to sample some other products that I wouldn't otherwise have.

Update: Xtreme Lashes is offering 20% off your purchase using promo code BLOGGER 20 until 10/1.
